Emma Grundtvig Gram

Ph.d.-studerende, Undervisningsassistent

I am a Ph.D. student at the Section of General Practice. I have a master’s degree in Public Health from the University of Copenhagen. My Ph.D. project concerns the long-term consequences of breast cancer screening, where I employ both quantitative and qualitative methods.

I am primarily interested in medical screening, false-positives, overdiagnosis, decision-making, psychometric theory, health communication, older women in screening, the interplay between health interventions and the welfare state, and the qualitative experience and understanding of participating in health interventions.

I am a member of the scientific committee and the chair of the Early and Mid Career Researchers Group, Preventing Overdiagnosis.

I teach biostatistics to master students and critical appraisal of literature to postgraduate doctors becoming general practitioners.
