Henriette Knold Rossau

PhD fellow

I am currently employed as a PhD fellow at Section for Social Medicine with the Department for Public Health at University of Copenhagen. I completed my Master of Science in Public Health from University of Copenhagen in 2012 and since worked with research within complex interventions. I have broad experience within both qualitative and quantitative methods and find great value in combining them.

My primary research interest is complex interventions and the methods used to develop and evaluate them.

Current research

The objective of my PhD project is to evaluate a large cluster-randomised trial, testing strengthened breastfeeding support in 21 Danish municipalities in North Denmark Region and Region of Southern Denmark. I conduct a process evaluation of the implementation of the intervention and investigate which facilitators and barriers the intervention meets that impacts the delivery of the inteded intervention. Furthermore, I will conduct an effect evaluation focussing on the effect on duration of exclusive breastfeeding and reduction of social inequality in duration of breastfeeding.

The full plans for the evaluation can be found in the study protocol here.
