I am a Ph.D. student at the Section of General Practice. I have a master’s degree in Public Health from the University of Copenhagen. My Ph.D. project concerns the long-term consequences of breast cancer screening, where I employ both quantitative and qualitative methods.
I am primarily interested in:
- Medical screening: false-positives, decision-making, health communication
- Overdiagnosis
- The qualitative experience and understanding of participating in health prevention programmes
- Direct-to-consumer medicine
- Diagnosis and disease classifications
I am a member of the scientific committee and the chair of the Early and Mid Career Researchers Group, Preventing Overdiagnosis.
I teach biostatistics to master students and critical appraisal of literature to postgraduate doctors becoming general practitioners.
